Description of our logo:

The Mattagami Aki logo, designed in 2019, is a representation of the connection between our people, the land, and our shared vision for sustainable development. “Aki” translates to earth, land, and territory in Ojibwe, but its meaning extends far beyond these words, encompassing the cultural and economic ties that bind us to the land.

At the heart of the logo is a tipi, a symbol of home, community, and emphasizing the importance of culture in our work. Within the tipi, a feather is placed, representing wisdom, and respect.
